Urban Extension

In many UK cities, there is a need to accommodate growth in order to remain lively and sustainable. Building upon the recently approved development at a neighbouring site, EC Environmental Ltd provided a vison for further growth in a sustainable manner while providing an enhanced soft and subtle interface between urban settlement and the rural landscape to the north. Delivering up to 1100 new homes with provision for Railway Park, a new 16.5ha green space at the settlement. Railway Park protects and enhances the rural setting and provides enhanced public access to the wider countryside for residents. At the heart of the scheme is ‘Church Walk, an avenue of trees and footpath leading to framed views of St Mary’s Church to the north.
